Pipelines also play a crucial role

In the field of firefighting, pipelines also play a crucial role.

Fire protection pipelines are mainly divided into the following types:

1、 Fire water supply pipe

Indoor fire water supply pipe: responsible for delivering fire water to various fire hydrants, automatic sprinkler systems, and other fire protection facilities inside the building. Usually, galvanized steel pipes, seamless steel pipes and other materials are used, which require certain compressive strength and corrosion resistance.

Outdoor fire water supply pipe: connects the municipal water supply network and the outdoor fire hydrant of the building, providing a water source for outdoor fire extinguishing. Generally buried, materials such as ductile iron pipes can be used.

2、 Fire sprinkler pipe

Used in automatic sprinkler fire extinguishing systems, when a fire occurs, the nozzle is heated and ruptured, and water is sprayed out through the sprinkler pipe to extinguish the fire. Spray pipes are usually made of galvanized steel pipes, and the diameter may vary depending on the system type and design requirements.

3、 Fire smoke exhaust pipe

The pipes in the fire exhaust system are used to discharge smoke and toxic gases generated by fires. Smoke exhaust pipes are generally made of non combustible materials, such as galvanized steel plates, stainless steel plates, etc., which require good sealing and high temperature resistance.

The installation and maintenance of fire protection pipelines need to follow strict specifications and standards to ensure their reliable operation in the event of a fire. Regularly inspecting the sealing, pressure resistance, and smoothness of pipelines to promptly detect and eliminate faults is crucial for ensuring fire safety.
